Periodontist – West Hartford, CT

Dr. Sejal Thacker is a board certified Periodontist and Implant Surgeon. She graduated from Columbia University, NY in 2009 and was awarded a combined Masters Degree and Certificate in Periodontics in 2012 from UConn Health, CT.

Dr. Thacker efficiently juggles her professional life as a clinician, educator, leader, and researcher. She is the Director of the Periodontics residency program in UConn Health and also an emerging leader in the field. She was awarded the prestigious award for “Outstanding Teaching and Mentoring in Periodontics” in 2015 and 2019 by the American Academy of Periodontology. She is the ex – President of the Connecticut Periodontics Society and is an active member of Connecticut State Dental Society. Dr. Thacker was selected, owing to popular voting, to be featured on the cover page of the “Top Dentists in CT magazine 2018”.

Dr. Thacker has been practicing Periodontics and Implant Surgery since 2012 and is patient, compassionate, approachable and a gifted clinician. She provides high quality evidence-based care to all her patients and looks forward to serving the community of West Hartford.

In her spare time, Dr. Thacker can be found enjoying time with her husband and two children, Krish and Meera. She loves hiking, running, biking, cooking and dancing.
