However, saying hello these days\nmay seem strange if you\u2019re used to giving out handshakes or hugs. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westhartforddentalgroup.com\/covid-19.html\">Dental safety<\/a>\nstarts with a healthy hello, so try one of these nine no-touch greetings from\nyour West Hartford dentist instead!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<!--more-->\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1.) A Friendly Wave<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Practicing social distancing may be new, but saying hello\ndoesn\u2019t have to be! A classic, universal way to greet someone or say goodbye is\nto give a friendly wave.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2.) Bow<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019d like a more respectful, subtle way to greet\nsomeone, you can bow slightly. In Japan, bowing is used to communicate a variety\nof sentiments, including thank you, I\u2019m sorry, hello, and goodbye.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3.) Namaste<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The namaste is a traditional salutation from Southeast Asia\nthat shows gratitude and respect. Simply press your palms together at your\nheart and bow your head slightly. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5.) Shaka<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>If you\u2019re looking for a more laid-back greeting, try using\nthe shaka. This laid-back island gesture is popular among surfers and beach\ngoers. To create one, make a fist, then extend your thumb and pinky finger.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">6.) Footshaking<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>You may not be able to shake someone\u2019s hand these days, but\nyou can \u201cshake\u201d feet! This somewhat silly greeting has been used around the world\nto greet others while preventing the spread of germs. Each person stands on one\nfoot, then the two raised feet are tapped together. Just be careful not to lose\nyour balance!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">7.) Blow a Kiss<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>When they are very young, many children are taught to say\nhello by blowing a kiss.
